Hosted in Dublin by the British Ambassador to Ireland, the event featured three key speakers: Prof Chris Johnson, Chief Scientific Advisor, UK Department for Science, Innovation and Technology; Prof Helen McCarthy, Chief Science & Technology Advisor, Northern Ireland Executive; and Prof Aoife McLysaght, Irish Government Science Advisor.
The speakers discussed their backgrounds and science policy from each government perspective and how they are encouraging girls to choose careers in science and technology.
