Amanda is a public engagement and communications professional with 10 years of experience working within universities and research organisations. She is also a doctoral candidate studying playful education in Trinity College Dublin. Amanda is interested in leveraging innovative formats towards engagement and communications for more impactful or inspirational encounters with science. She coordinates STEAM Summer School, an annual course in communicating science through the arts. She has also designed and delivered numerous STEAM-based projects from STEM escape rooms, to scientific exhibitions, to educational role-playing games.
