Professor Kieran Tuohy has been involved in various research projects, including work on SusProFood, which focuses on optimising the development of sustainable, functional, fibre-rich foods fortified with plant proteins.

Professor Tuohy holds a PhD from the University of Surrey (2000), an MSc in Environmental Microbiology from the University of Aberdeen (1995), and a BSc in Industrial Microbiology from University College Dublin, Ireland (1993).
