Name

Rameesha Ahmad

Role

PhD Researcher

Rameesha Ahmad is a PhD student and Walsh Scholar at University College Cork, supervised by Professor Maeve Henchion, Professor Mary MacCarthy, and Dr. Sean Tanner. She holds an MSc in Marketing and Business Analysis from the University of Edinburgh and a BSc in Marketing from the University of London, where her interest in agri-food began to take shape.

Rameesha’s research explores the media framing of farm diversification and its impact on farmer identity and motivation for change in behaviour. She seeks to understand how media narratives influence perceptions of diversification and the extent to which they encourage or discourage farmers from adopting alternative practices. Her work contributes to the broader discourse on sustainability by examining the intersection of communication, identity, and agrarian transformation.
