Dr Tilman Kuhn’s research focuses on nutritional epidemiology and preventive nutrition, with particular interest in cancer and cardio-metabolic diseases. He utilises cohort studies and dietary intervention trials to explore the impact of diet on chronic disease prevention. Specific topics of interest include intermittent fasting, plant-based diets, body composition, metabolic health, and nutritional support for cancer patients.

Dr Kuhn works on various projects in Nutritional Epidemiology and Public Health Nutrition, exploring the role of diet in preventing chronic diseases. He welcomes MSc, MD, or PhD candidates to collaborate on these topics, offering opportunities for research depending on personal interests and expertise.

He collaborates with several European partners, including the University and Medical University Vienna (Austria) and the Heidelberg Institute of Global Health (Germany), expanding the scope of his research and fostering international cooperation in the field of nutritional science.
